Manufacturing Technician
JOB TITLE: Manufacturing Technician (Level I-IV)

SUMMARY:
Manufacturing Technicians are responsible for supporting multiple PWBA and Cable Assembly programs to workmanship standards for high reliability electronic hardware. A candidate can expect to be involved in the electronic soldering of PWBA and/or precise mechanical assembly as well as various other support/technical functions.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for physically assembling, building, and providing services to meet customer specification.
- Ensures product is consistent with established build certifications and specifications and escalates quality issues as appropriate.
- Ensures highest possible product quality and adherence to the Spectrum quality system, ISO and/or other standards
- Build, assemble products and provide services in accordance with Spectrum and customer specifications.
- Working knowledge of building products in accordance with product drawings / blueprints.
- Maintains proper use and care of tools and equipment.
- Sets up or runs current program files on automated equipment when required.
- Effectively communicates product status to floor leads, supervisor(s) and management.
- Show the ability to take the initiative on issues with little or no direction.
- Must comply to IPC ESD standards once trained and certified
- Has the ability to understand and follow Spectrum Safety policies and procedures
- Execute work requests as required by the engineering teams.
- Ensure there is a basic awareness of hazardous material(s) using (MSDS)Material Safety Data Sheets.
- Ensure all material control procedures are followed to include but not limited to the identification of counterfeit parts.
- Participate in continuous improvement activities to improve throughput, yields, and/or reduce costs.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalent and/or 3-year manufacturing related experience preferred.
- Computer skills preferred but not required: Microsoft Office Suite
