JOB TITLE: Facilities Maintenance Technician

SUMMARY:
Spectrum AMT, Inc. is seeking a motivated Facilities Maintenance Technician that has a strong background in general maintenance, troubleshooting, and preventive care across multiple trades.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform routine inspections of facilities, systems, and equipment to identify maintenance needs.
 - Carry out repairs on electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, and mechanical systems as needed.
 - Conduct preventive maintenance to reduce downtime and extend the lifespan of assets.
 - Respond promptly to work orders, emergency calls, and maintenance requests.
 - Assist with installation, setup, and modifications of facility equipment and fixtures.
 - Maintain records of inspections, repairs, and maintenance activities.
 - Monitor and maintain building safety standards, including fire, health, and security systems.
 - Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and local building codes.
 - Coordinate with outside vendors and contractors for specialized repairs or projects.
 - Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe at all times.
 
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
 
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training preferred.
 - 2+ years of experience in building or facilities maintenance.
 - Knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical systems.
 - Ability to read technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
 - Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
 - Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work in various environments.
 - Familiarity with safety standards (OSHA) and preventive maintenance practices.
 - Good communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
 - Proficient in MS Office and other PC Software.
 
Preferred: Experienced in HVAC, electrical, and plumbing.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Full-time position; schedule may include evenings, weekends, or on-call rotations.
